Kitchen, residential, The Hague (NL)
One of the client’s wishes for his kitchen was to have a very large table where the family could sit quietly in the morning, enjoying breakfast and each open the morning newspapers without bothering the other. Luckily the space available was very large as well, so the big table became the centerpiece of the house.
Another wish was to have lots of built-in appliances to explore as many ways of cooking methods possible.
The Schiffini kitchen is made of aluminum. The worktops of slightly polished Bluestone were so heavy, 5 men had to help… The table is completely custom made of stainless steel and bluestone. The chairs are custom height. The large hood is custom designed.
