When an old dilapidated harbour building in one of Rotterdam’s famous harbours was converted into lofts, this client wanted to keep the industrial feeling of the building alive without living in a work environment. By keeping the old wooden beams and cast iron pillars in sight and using industrial materials as aluminum and dark wood, a pleasant and contemporary atmosphere was created.

This kitchen was photographed for a publication in leading Dutch interior magazine Eigen Huis & Interior (Own Home & Interior) and the photos were later published in a book about the history and the present use of the building.
